Black Canvased PainDarkness greeted my arrival tonight
Insanity wasn't vibrant and colored
It was cold and Black.
Demons of my own creation tore apart my reality.
I groped at sanguine walls coming into view
They met me with the flesh of my family.
Any scream made was lost in the laugh
Coming from my mouth curved into a wicked smile.
The other side of my psych was alive
It drank in the repulsion spewing from my rational mind.
Frozen in terror I put up no fight
When he locked me in the box that was his life
And I saw everything his oppression caused.
A smiling child changing in terrible metamorphosis
Gives birth to a horror never before seen
And now let out to reap and rape.
I could only sit as he slated his thirst
For the blood of my friends and lovers.
And I began to grow wicked as I witnessed his freedom
The metamorphosis was mine
And the Horror outside was me
Free and wild as I craved to be.
Nature's BeautyI walked outside this morning and beheld a beautiful tragedy,
Mother Nature in all her perfection frozen with indecision.
The frost coating on blooming roses
forever caging her seed.
It was breath-taking to see,
Such a powerful wonder be overtaken by ice and cold.
What a sight to behold...
Tick...Tock...My paint is blood and the body is my canvas; Drip... Drip... Drip...
Hear my artwork form.
I sing with Anguish and History is my lyric; One... Two... Three...
Listen to my Rhythm Grow.
My masterpiece spreads chaos and armies march to my rhythm.
From my mouth spill lies and truths half told.
From my eyes Death watches only waiting to grab hold.
You cannot keep sane in this world I create. Voices penetrate
your ears while my pupils grow unending, unnerving even the
strongest wills and making brave souls cower inside their husks.
My world will engulf this, My visions will become reality. Angels
will fall from the heavens, wings ablaze with Hell-Fire. My demented
murmurs forever in your thoughts will drive you over the edge.
The ground will Freeze while the sky Burns. Souls will form Rainbows
pouring blood into the seas and all the while a clock will be ticking;
Tick... Tock... Tick... Tock...
Forever keeping Rhythm as my Masterpiece marches on.
With a single great breath I blow it all awa
ViolinI remember the day
you told me violins
were strung with cat gut
and that is why
you hated music
(who says that to a child?)
I followed you
all that summer.
I watched you
grow away from mother -
your whiskey held better conversations
and all she did was cry.
We'd sit cross-legged on the porch
and count the horseflies
settling on our lunch.
You would drown tadpoles
in a bucket
surprised they could not swim
and I would dream
of cherry popsicles.
And when night would gather
on the sidewalk
I'd hold my breath
until a star appeared.
Don't bother making wishes
you'd tell me -
stars are dead weight in heaven
and God has cloth ears.
to crumble up
the remnant pieces
of my love for you
and throw them in the trash
but I'm such a bad shot.
